Mouthguards

At Wimbledon Dental Wellness, we offer a range of mouthguards to help with teeth grinding, sports, sleep apnoae, snoring and to prevent your teeth moving in unwanted positions.

Mouthguards are most commonly worn over your teeth to prevent injury from excessive grinding forces and in contact sports, such as boxing, rugby and hockey. At Wimbledon Dental Wellness, we will make a custom mouthguard to fit your teeth snugly. Although you may buy mouthguards over the counter, custom made mouthguards are more durable and fit your teeth perfectly for extra comfort and protection. They are made from stronger materials in our specialist dental labs after we take an impression or scan of your teeth.

We can also offer sleep mouthguards that can help with sleep apnoae (where your breathing pauses during sleep) and snoring.

Sports mouthguards can be personalised with colours of your choice to match your personality, style or team that you support.

Mouthguards can also be worn to prevent teeth from moving in unwanted positions. For example, you may have had Orthodontic treatment as a child and your teeth may have moved in time, as you did not wear your retainer for long. A mouthguard can be made to act as a retainer to prevent further teeth movement and retain teeth in the position that they are in, as teeth usually move slowly throughout life.
