Dentures can be used to replace either a full arch of teeth, just one tooth, or in some cases, several missing teeth. There are many reasons why a patient may have a missing tooth or teeth, but it is always best to replace a tooth wherever possible.
Made up of an acrylic or chrome base, dentures sit on the gums or palate. Because they are designed to be removable, dentures are easy to take care of. They also present a cost-effective way to replace teeth – especially if you have to replace more than one tooth at once. This is part of the reason why they retain their popularity to this day.
If, after an initial consultation with us you decide to proceed with dentures, we will take either a digital scan or an impression of your teeth. This will then be used to custom make your dentures for you by technicians at a dental laboratory. We will fit your dentures here at the practice, ensuring the fit is right and that you are comfortable wearing them. We will then go through any after care needs and questions you may have. We also include a complimentary review appointment for all our patients to make sure that you are 100% happy.
With your dentures comfortably fitted, you’ll then be able to return to your daily life with both your confidence and comfort restored. Dentures will help you to chew, eat and speak with more confidence and greater ease, which we think will help put a smile back on your face.
